PEGGY LEONARD 1960

Peggy Leonard--what a sweetie. She reminds me of a classmate from my school; in fact, I bet she reminds many of you of a classmate you had. I think it's because Peggy has that All-American-Girl-BEST FRIEND look about her. In fact, Pat Molittieri wrote in MY BANDSTAND BUDDIES: "Peggy Leonard is my best friend."..."Her loyalty is her hallmark." Pat goes on to recount that the funniest thing that happened to them was when they met for the show one day, they were both wearing the exact same dress...and they went on with the show. Anyone happen to remember that show?

Peggy was one of the most popular on the show and a friend to all it seems. Not too long ago, we learned of her death. Sadly, we have lost so many of the Regulars from the Early Bandstand days.

We will keep working at getting a clearer picture of this photo, but wanted to get it on for viewing. Sometimes it is difficult with the older original photographs to get a really good and clear photo, but we will keep trying!
