MAR at age 17 - Homecoming pic

This is MAR at age 17--a fabulous friend to the site and all of you. She has been so generous of her time and her picture collection to share them with all of us. Mar has sent many photographs to the site from her personal collection, and we cannot thank her enough. She was lucky to have visited American Bandstand and met some of the Regulars. She is knowledgable of her history and we rely on her a lot. Thank you, Mar.

This picture was taken of Mar at age 17 for her school's Homecoming Queen competition. Mar has kept in touch with Kenny Rossi and Arlene Sullivan and has sent us many pictures of both, along with pictures of Carole Higbee and others. We thought it would be great for you to meet her via these pictures from the Early Bandstand era. What a beautiful girl and she could easily have become a popular Regular had she lived in Philadelphia. We're just glad she made the trip there and has shared so much with us.
