TOM HOGAN AGE 16 IN 1960

This is a wallet size picture of Tom Hogan. Back of pix dates it to 1960. This is a Regular who I don't know much about, so if anyone has a brief bit of bio they can submit, we will put it under the picture. Thanks.

One of our best Bandstand historians for the site (Donna Vronek) sent the following information on Tom Hogan. We were delighted to get this and hope you enjoy learning more about him!

"Thank you so much for the posting the picture of Tom Hogan. He was one of my favorites, although I never learned much about him in magazines, but I loved watching him on the show. He was so tall and slim (I was 5'6" at age 11 - am 5'8" now, so I was always attracted to tall guys on the show) and seemed to have a great sense of humor. What little I ever read about him always mentioned that. The only facts that I knew then and can remember now is that his on/off girlfriend was Kathy Lafferty, who was also a regular but I never knew too much about her either. I believe he was born in 1944. He was Frani's partner in the fast dance contest (1960) that Barb Levick and Bill Cook won. He was a great dancer and I think I remember him dancing a lot with Judy Leibowitz and Arlene DiPietro. He should have been in the Pony dance contest in 1961 but I don't remember who his partner was - maybe Judy. He must have left the show in 1962; maybe he reached the age limit."
