I thank American Bandstand Regular Justine Carrelli for the 2 fantastic above pictures of Carmella.I also want to thank Justine for correcting Ms. Montecarlo's name. It is Carmella and not Carmen. She said that Carmella used to be nicknamed Carmie and that may be how some thought her name was Carmen. I wanted to make this correction and I appreciate having the special knowledge of the Regulars who help make the information more correct or who update me. And very importantly, I appreciate very much when family members write to correct or update information. That is such valuable input.
Carmella had a sister also on the show--Joanne Montecarlo. I understand Joanne passed away on January 30, 2011, and that she had over the years attended American Bandstand functions/reunions, dances.updated this information on 6/2/2011 after hearing from Carmella's youngest daughter, Sherry Wible. I also took her spelling of her mother's name as exactly: Carmella Montecarlo.
