Oh, I have so many memories of Carole on the show...

I remember her dark hair and dark eyes and soft voice. I don't recall her hair ever being more than chin to shoulder length and usually with a lovely wave unless she did an updo. She looked glamorous either way.

I remember the cute little dancing shoes she wore when she did the little skip type steps and they showed her feet. I had to run out and buy a pair just like them--in black soft almost suede texture and with laces to tie up the front.

I remember her in the dance contests and the lead-off dances she sometimes did. I recall her dancing with Nick Gaeta, Joe Fusco, Harvey Robbins and some of the cute Italian guys whose names I don't recall, but they were good looking. I believe she danced with Walt Grzelak too.

I remember hearing the song "Oh Carole" and always associating it with Carole.

I remember her mostly wearing sweaters and skirts.

I remember specifically the show when Dick Clark interviewed Carole in the audience and thank heavens most of us have been able to see that video clip in recent years to fully bring back a really wonderful memory.

...now for some of your memories...and remember you can post as often as you like when you remember something else. Having these individual postings for Regulars will help us keep the focus better at the site and when we do the search at the site, it will also be helpful. Thanks.

Carole protruded Beauty through the TV screen...my friends described her as THE GORGEOUS ONE.

I remember her fashion statements and her beautiful hair...her dance style was unique...I remember her dancing with Joe Fusco, Nick Gaeta and other handsome guys, I don't remember their names, as well.

I am also pleased to know that Carole is doing well today and thank her for so much she's contribute for us to see...Thank You CAROLE!

I always thought Carole was such a fashion plate! I loved her hair when she'd wear it to one side...very sophisticated...I can't get over the fact that when she did that lead off dance with Harvey Robbins to Dee-Dee Dinah that she was only 15. Her dancing was superb and had no gawky moves that usually teens have at that age. She was very beautiful too and I know she danced with a lot of different guys but I don't know their names. So glad that she is on this board.

I remember when cousin Carole told me that Joe Venutti wanted to go out with me--this was when I first started going to AB in the Fall of 1959. She came over to me where I was dancing on the dance floor and she was so excited when she told me..."guess who wants to go out with you.." And when she told me it was Joe Venutti then I was so excited. Carole and Joe came to my house to pick me up and we all went to an AB party. It was so much fun--I was younger than the group-so I really felt important!! Just even 6 months age difference is a big deal when you are a teenager--and there was more than a 6 month difference. Oh and I remember what a great dancer Joe was.

The first time I saw Carole on AB, I thought she was so pretty. I loved her hair styles and all of her fashions. She seemed shy , sweet and a little mysterious. Carole will always be one of my most favorite girls on AB.

I had the pleasure of meeting Carol twice, once at a place in philly where you get people jobs or try to anyway and than I bumped into her at another store where she was working. She remembered me which kinda surprised me. Very friendly and sweet.

I also remember the way Carole had this little "push off" that she would do with her dance partner and which usually led in to a turn-around too. She had a very distinct style of dancing--as did Pat Molittieri and Justine Carrelli. That was so nice that each of these popular Regulars established their own style of dance and fashion and yet were in keeping with the overall high standards of the dance and fashion on the show. Today when gals establish their own style, they often have to go too far and just do shocking behaviors and what was nice about the Bandstand girls is that they could be individual in many ways without having to shock. I think the word to describe that is "class"--and they had "class".
