Hi all....We have a new poster "soonerokie" at the boards and I am extending a big welcome to her. I see she has posted twice so far.
Soonerokie...I hope you enjoy your time here at my website and that you will have fun participating in our discussions of Early American Bandstand as well as other 50s memories of fads, fashions, etc.
In AB friendship, Marsha

Welcome aboard, enjoy, and have fun. You certainly jolted my memory, pat dancing to Topsy part ll, the best===though barbara Levick is a close second, with her dancing style.

Wow! Thanks everybody. I love this site. Thank you, Marsha, for having it and letting me in.
There is a discussion about the dance "The Strand" on Facebook. Some people described it like "The Stroll," but I remember it as originating with Janet Hamill (cannot remember the guy), and it was like a slow dance with really cool moves added.
Thanks for all the good wishes! Jan
