This half slip is New Old Stock circa 1960s and is just a fantastic find. It's on the PEMBROOKE label (label inside slip on side seam). The paper tag still attached to slip on outside states SPRINGMAID - American fabrics from American mills and features the new fabric Kodel by Kodak. It's a combination polyester/cotton fabric (65% poly & 35% cotton). The polyester was the new KODEL Polyester. Adding the cotton gives this a super nice visual appeal and cooler comfort...you'd never know it had polyester in it!. It's an absolutely delightful fabric which is definitely washable, but we have done nothing to the pristine state in which we found it because it has paper tag attached, so there are some storage wrinkles and/or creases that will come out the first time you launder the item.. Just above the hemline is an almost 3 inch band of petite pintucks edged with lace on either side. There are 6 rows of these baby pintucks which the picture doesn't even do justice to. The SIZE is a label stated S (small) with a waist unstretched of 22 inches and stretches to 30 inches. LENGTH is 25 inches. Hips measured flat goes to about 42 inches. CONDITION as stated is like new...super clearn, odor free and smoke-free. You will not often find a charming vintage slip like this in such like-new condition.
