Van Raalte did it again--another superb slip! I think the year was 1958 or very close to that date when this slip first came out (made in USA) --a Van Raalte Opaquelon. The COLOR is stunning and as close to a deep lipstick red or Christmas Red as I can describe. The slip is actually some darker than the pictures show. You will love this color red in a true red shade! The SIZE is a label-stated 34 (bust). The FABRIC is nylon. The double loop cloth label is in a side seam in the lower part of the slip. The details are simply beautiful--from the all lace bodice (front and back) and with the flattering lace inserted midriff that V's upward and downward at center front of bodice. This was a seamstress detail often done in the 40s and 50s to allow even more beautiful contouring of the figure. The hemline lace is gorgeous as well and on both sides of slip it rises to edge the slit that makes the legs so pretty when walking. CONDITION is excellent.
