This is one of the rare early MYTH nightgowns by the wonderful lingerie maker VAN RAALTE. The Myth line of gowns was one of their nicest and often featured beautiful embellishments like fancy delicate lace or appliques or streamer ties. This gown shows two of those beautiful details--the fine baby lace in multiple rows and very long streamer ties that start at center back and can be tied in the back in to a bow and still have long streamer left or tied around the waist to the front and done in a bow. There are a number of attractive ways you could tie such long ties to add even more glamour to an exceedingly feminine gown. Although the streamer ties are not shown in all views, they are there and when not tied they actually fall several inches below the LENGTH of the gown, so they are very long and pretty and edged with that same baby lace. The bodice is done chevron style with multiple rows of this lovely lace front and back and the hemline has 5 rows of this lace that alternates with the nylon. This is ballet length and measures 47 inches from shoulder to bottom of the gown. The shoulder straps are 40s style wide and have 3 rows of overlapping lace next to the sheer nylon. The FABRIC is Nylon and the old double loop cloth label is within the gown in a side seam closer to bottom of the skirt of the gown. The SIZE is a label-stated 36 (bust). The skirt is full so hips are flexible. The waist is 28 inches unstretched and strethes to 31 inches. The CONDITION is Excellent Plus with clean fabric that is smoke-free and odor-free.
