This is a neat old Catholic high school yearbook that belonged to one Rosie Flynn, whose name is penned in the inside pictorial front pages showing the beautiful school. The architecture is really interesting and I wonder if the school is still there or torn down. Another one of the investigations I'll have to do, as I do get caught up in these. I have already checked out the Official Website for Jacksonville, Illinois and learned that one of my better known ancestors practiced law in Jacksonville, Illinois from 1883 to 1887. It's always interesting to look at these old yearbooks. Clearly the early fifties styles are depicted here as shown by the formal dress the Homecoming Queen is wearing. There are lots of city ads in the back with some pictures, so it would be interesting if you lived in this town around the time, even if you didn't graduate from that school that year. Also, if you live there now, it would be an interesting piece of history for you to see which establishments have survived the years.
As to condition, all the corners are scuffed and rubbed but it's in very good condition considering it's 54 years old. There are lots of signed wishes to Rosie.
The $20.00 purchase price includes the yearbook, free Priority Mail shipping, and a gift coupon of $1 toward a future shopping trip.
