Hello everyone, This picture premiers at my website on 11/27/2011 courtesy of Ronald Joseph Caponigro who was an American Bandstand Regular in the 1950s. This picture is not new to the WEB, but new to my website. There are links in this write-up to some rare videos that I feel certain you will enjoy and there will be more to come. Be sure to click on "read more" for links to those priceless videos. ENJOY

RJ (as he is known) has a number of pages on the WEB and I have been referred to them and given courtesy to use here some of these materials. I remember Ronald Joseph and especially from the roll calls on the show. American Bandstand Regular Carole Scaldeferri Spada re-united with him on 11/23/11 (her birthday) while at a restaurant with her hubby in Philly. She recognized Ronald Joseph after over 20 years from the last time she saw him. They struck up a conversation and she referred him to my website. Mrs. Caponigro (a lovely looking lady) has emailed me a few times since Nov 23, 2011 and shared with me things that she says I may feel free to share with all of you who visit my website. You'll be able to see Mrs. Caponigro on some video links I will be adding in the days ahead. So stay tuned for some interesting items. I will put some of the links here on the blog post and more later. You will get to see video of Pop Singer receiving a cake, Tony Mammarella interviewed and dancing, Dick Clark, and others. Post American Bandstand, RJ has had a long career in broadcast radio and he had his own TV show out in California. You will be introduced to all that right here, courtesy of RJ and his lovely wife Robin Sherman. Here are some links to start you off:
"Dick Clark was the first guest on RJ' first TV talk show in 1961 after RJ left Bandstand.
There doesn't seem to be voice on this one, but the others will have plenty of voice so keep going through the links here!
for all of you who have not seen Pop Singer on film since his days on AB, here's your chance--and, of course, the wonderful Tony Mammarella who was honored. After viewing the short introductory video, you can continue to click where it says "next video" and you will really enjoy these. There are 7 parts and part 7 is worth waiting for, as you are going to see Carole Scaldeferri dancing with Harvey Robins in this 1970s video show. Wow, happy birthday present to you, Carole!
We thank RJ and his wife Robin Sherman for their kindness in sharing here much of RJ's life post American Bandstand. I will be putting up some AB days pictures of him too once I find them in my collection. AND DID YOU KNOW...RJ has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now that's something! There will be more videos, more pictures, and more tidbits. So return for more courtesy RJ Caponigro...bye for now. - Marsha
