This wonderful vintage intact newspaper magazine has 19 numbered pages + the 2 covers. It is oversized in size, measuring 12 3/4 inches by 10 3/4 inches. On cover of this March 1, 1959, issue is actress Gina Lollobrigida. Not many of these thin news magazines survived through the years, so I would say this is rare. I have done searches for another on the WEB and have not yet found this one. The condition is excellent. I doubt you would find one let alone one in such wonderful condition. It is from a museum binder, so there are 2 very small binder holes in the far left margin of magazine, but this does not affect the great interest this magazine provides. You could still frame the cover and cut off that small left border, and the interior articles are not adversely affected, as you can read all the articles, including a 2-page pictorial article within titled "What Really Happened to the Queen of Sheba?" that includes a large color photo of the actress starring in the movie "The Queen of Sheba" and 2 B&W pictures .

These fun news magazines covered such topics as pictorial and written word on social news, animal world, food, fashion, celebrity, and there's always the ads relative to the decade. Some of the articles within in addition the article mentioned already are (1) "History Was Made by Them", which shows B&W pics of actors along with the famous men they portrayed , (2) "The Unsung Heroes of Canaveral", (3) "How to Recognize Danger Signals That Threaten Your Child's Most Precious Gift", (4) "Small Visitor to Another World" which is about a small orangutan named Roberta with pictures & comments, (5) very briefly worded pictorial article on Stewardess Joyce Bianco of Vancouver, British Columbia who was with Canadian Pacific Airlines, (6) "Dial 3,6,9 for Murder" from the archives of crime. I cannot list everything but I am sure you will enjoy this issue.

The old paper has good paper smell--unlike some vintage paper collectibles. If these are your interests, I think you will really enjoy collecting this hard-to-find magazine. The price you see above is total and includes free shipping within the USA by Priority Mail.
